In 2007 on one of our travels to South Africa we, Annika and Harald, stumbled across shweshwe fabric on a crafts market in Wilderness, Western Cape. We instantly fell for the soft cotton fabric with the vibrant colours and beautiful patterns. Later at the Rondeview coffee shop the idea of a website making this lovely fabric more widely available in the UK (the place where shweshwe was actually manufactured for many years…see )was born.
